Edit: The prices have further been reduced to Rs. 8,499 for the 16 GB and Rs 11,999 for the 32 GB variantAlthough the rumours of the Nexus 7 (2013) releasing today, the 12th of November 2013 in India may not have come true, the impending launch continues to effect the price of its predecessor. Flipkart has just today reduced the price of the 16 GB model from its earlier price of Rs. 9,999 by Rs. 500. The same reduction has also been applied to its 32 GB counterpart. The 3G version of the tablet that was available for Rs 16999 is now sold out on Flipkart.
Inspite of the tablet now being a generation old is an amazing steal at this price. With a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor and 216 ppi screen, the device is still very much a current device and better than many 7 inch tablets still available in the market. This tablet functions almost as fast and smooth as the latest Nexus 7 (2013) with a minor noticeable difference in times for startup time for apps.
Google has already given away the price of the Nexus 7 (2013) for the cellular model being Rs 25999. If the difference of Rs 9000 between the latest Nexus 7 and its predecessor is important and other factors such as a Rear Camera and the Display resolution are not important factors for you, the Nexus 7 (2012) is an amazing steal at the current price. The soon to be released KitKat for it is only an added bonus.
