Apple releases update to kill the Gmail Bug for Apple Mail in OSX Mavericks

A lot of Gmail users were left frustrated with one of the bugs that came along with the OSX Mavericks. Apparently , Gmail users were not able to delete, move or archive messages from the Apple Mail app on OSX Mavericks. This update resolves these issues in addition to few more improvements.

Apple has listed the Change log as below on the KB

  • Fixes an issue that prevents deleting, moving, and archiving messages for users with custom Gmail settings
  • Addresses an issue that may cause unread counts to be inaccurate
  • Includes additional fixes that improve the compatibility and stability of Mail


In order to get the update, from the Menu bar, click on the Apple Icon and choose “Software Update”. Install the update from the “App Store” window that opens.
